One in a Melon Garden Trellis Cards

This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! is so sweet!  It’s one in a melon – lol!  Just look at all the bright colors and the fun pre-printed note cards!   And what about that adorable tissue paper and those tiny clothespins?  I love everything about this kit!

Here are two alternative cards that I made using the stamp set from the kit.  The card on the left-hand side is an A2 card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ finished size) and the one on the right is a smaller version of the card using the Whisper White Note Cards from Stampin’ Up!  The stamped watermelon image can easily be cut out by hand but I used the Layering Circles Framelits Dies  and they cut the image out perfectly!

Stampin’ Up! Soft Sayings Card Kit

Kits simplify the creative process with pre-cut pieces for amazing projects.  I just created this stack of all-occasion cards using the Soft-Sayings All-Inclusive Card Kit by Stampin’ Up!  The card kit makes 20 cards, 2 each of 10 designs.  There is also a refill kit so you can keep on making!   The only thing I needed to complete the kit was adhesive.

Stampin’ Up! trainer, Holly, shares some tips and tricks for creating the cards that come in the kit in this video:

All-inclusive kits make great gifts.  This one even comes in a giftable kraft box.  Contact me today to order yours or click on the images below to shop 24/7.

Lovely Words & A New Stampin’ Up! Catalog

It’s finally here!  The new Stampin’ Up! Catalog went live today and I couldn’t be more excited!  To help celebrate the launch of the new catalog I’m sending a FREE gift to everyone who places an order of $50 or more (before tax and shipping) with me during the month of June using Hostess Code UD6VFPGD.  Visit my catalog page HERE to find out how you can get your own copy of the new catalog.  You may view the catalog online HERE.

I used one of my favorite new products from the catalog in today’s card.  The Lovely Words Thinlits Dies are so pretty and can be used in multiple ways.  They are great by themselves but can also be framed using other Framelits by Stampin’ Up!  There is also a coordinating stamp set; Lovely Inside & Out.

Here is a video tutorial of my Lovely Words Hello Friend Card.  In the video I share a great tip on getting your images stamped exactly where you want them to be.  Check it out!

Project Dimensions:

  • Card Base = 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White card stock scored at 4-1/4″ then folded in half.

Swirly Bird Father’s Day Card

The calendar is fast approaching to the month of June and that got me thinking about Father’s day.  That in turn got me thinking about making some masculine cards.  Today’s card is full of whimsy and soft colors.  It’s not one you would traditionally think of as a masculine card but it works.  It’s another card that could be used for all sorts of different occasions just by changing up the greeting.

Blue and yellow are classic colors that coordinate so well with each other.  This card pairs Dapper Denim and Soft Sky with Daffodil Delight.  The sailboat images require some fussy cutting but it’s not too cumbersome.  Using die-cuts for the rest of the card makes it a quick and easy card to put together.  Here is my video tutorial:

Project Dimensions:

  • Card Base = 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Dapper Denim card stock scored at 4-1/4″ then folded in half.
  • Whisper White card stock:  4″ x 5-1/4″, 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″
  • Dapper Denim card stock:  3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
  • Soft Sky card stock:  3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″

Envelope Punch Board Envelopes & Liners

In yesterday’s post I shared a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ square card.  I made a square envelope with a liner that coordinated with my card using the Envelope Punch Board by Stampin’ Up!  I used simple printer paper for the envelope and a piece of Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper for the envelope liner.

Here is a quick video tutorial that includes a tip to estimate what size Designer Series Paper your envelope requires for a liner:

Stampin’ Up! Banners for You Card

I decided to think outside-the-box today by creating a square card. (Did you see what I did there?)  I’ve been going through my Designer Series Paper listed on the Stampin Up! Retiring List to make room for new, and the beautiful colors and impressionistic style of my selection from the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper called to me.  The blues and greens in this paper combined with the Island Indigo card base look fantastic!

The Delicate White Doily helps to highlight the tag and Detailed Dragonflies, and the Silver Metallic Thread adds more depth and a little shine to the card.  I’ll be posting a video soon on how I created the coordinating envelope.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel HERE so you don’t miss an episode.

The card has a lot of elements but is actually very simple and quick to put it together.  Here is my video tutorial:

To create the card base I cut an 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Island Indigo card stock, scored it at 4-1/4″ then folded it in half.  The Designer Series Paper is cut at 4″ x 4″ which means you can make nine of these cards out of one 12″ x 12″ piece of paper!  The “Congrats” tag is stamped onto a piece of 1-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White card stock and the dragonflies are cut from a piece of 4-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Island Indigo card stock.  I cut a piece of 4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock for the card insert.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Greetings Thank-You Card

I’ve been cleaning up and organizing my craft studio to make space for the awesome new stuff coming when the Stampin Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog goes live in June.  It’s that time of the year when we have to say, “goodbye” to some in order to make room for others.  You can view the Retiring List HERE.

One of the retiring stamp sets that I’m going to miss is Cottage Greetings.   It has a super cute font and is one of those stamp sets that I have used over and over again.

I’ve been wanting to send some thank-you notes and created this is the card to mass produce.  I paired the Cottage Greetings stamp set with the also retiring A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper.  It’s a clean, simple card that’s a breeze to put together making it perfect for making many cards at one time.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Stack Mini Chocolate Pocket

Call me weird but I have a habit of wandering candy aisles looking for sweet treats that might call to me for some crafty packaging.  As soon as I came upon these Ghirardelli Mini’s I knew a pretty little packet was called for and this is what I came up with using the Sweet Stack stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

It looks like a mini traveler’s notebook doesn’t it?  There’s a little pocket for the chocolate and the inside cover is perfect for leaving a small note to the recipient.  These treat pockets don’t use a lot of supplies and are a snap to make.  Check out my video tutorial below to see how easy-peasy they are to create.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You Birthday Card

We’ve had plenty of April showers here in the midwest this month so today’s card just seemed appropriate.  The Beautiful You stamp set by Stampin’ Up! is artistic with lovely images and sentiments.  Color can be added to the Beautiful You images with the included brushstroke stamps or use Watercolor Pencils along with Aqua Painters like I did for some subtle shading.

I love all the layers in this card along with the sweet mini paper clip, doily and baker’s twine embellishments.  The Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry color combination was an unexpected surprise – they work great together!

Basic Butterfly with Dragonfly Dreams Card

The best part of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is the lovely community that we belong to.  I have met so many fantastic people and made some life-long friendships since joining Stampin’ Up! four years ago.  One of those friends, Donna Mack, recently sent me this lovely artisan-styled card for my birthday. The background images from the Basic Butterfly stamp set highlight the die-cut dragonfly perfectly and the metallic thread and sequins add a little shine.  It’s a versatile card that would work for many occasions just by changing up the sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Reverse Words Card

My inspiration for today’s card came from the 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack from Stampin’ Up!.  Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors and having it in glimmer paper is such a treat!  I used the Reverse Words stamp set for the front of the card and Confetti Celebration for the inside.  The sentiments are perfect for any celebration – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and Fridays just to name a few!
